Your Next Steps

1. Start with God

The Bible tells us that God is our Father, and that He wants a relationship with you.

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"

Matthew 7:11

2. Prayer

Although it may seem intimidating and significant, prayer is simply us speaking to God. Speak to Him aloud, in your thinking, while driving, or while taking a shower. No matter how long it takes and where you are, Say a prayer.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;"

Philippians 4:6

Tip

Use the word "ACTS" to help stay focused while praying.

Adoration: This is giving God praise for who He is.

Confession: This is us saying and asking God for forgiveness of our sins.

Thanksgiving: This is thanking God for your health, family, job, anything.

Supplication: This is us presenting Prayer Requests to God.

3. Read His Word

Finally, have you ever written a message to a loved one and been so eager for them to read it and reply that you became upset or irritated when they failed to do so? God's massive text message to us is found in the Bible. All we need to do is read the things Jesus wrote to help you every day.

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

Psalms 119:105

Tip

The Bible can be overwhelming pick a single book from the New Testament. Matthew is a good place to start. Aim to read a chapter a day, if you can do more, do it. Remember it's your time with God.
